The purpose of WVA is to: Empower Women Veterans: networking, career and professional development and mentorship for women that have served and are currently serving.

How to start a WVA Chapter & become a Volunteer Director:

Confirm there is not an active WVA Chapter within 25 mile radius

View current chapters: http://www.womenveteransalliance.org/chapters/

Be a paid WVA member in good standing

Have at least 5 women that are interested in particpating

Re-read WVA Mission, Members MOU  & Ideal WVA Member, Ideal Volunteer Director

If possible have attended or plan to attend WVA event (chapter meeting, Mix & Mingle, or Unconference)

Submit a completed new chapter director request

Interview with WVA President and at least one other chapter director

Once approved, review and sign WVA’s Director Letter of Understanding and Agreement

    (DD214, Drivers License with Veteran Identifier, military ID, or VA card)

  • (See bylaws for allowable location types - No rental fee, parking, convenient, safe, allow children, office conference room, restaurant, must have area blocked off with AV, community meeting space)
